Who we are
Meka Health & Life Insurance ("we", "us", "our") is an independent insurance agency licensed in the State of Wisconsin. We help Wisconsin residents compare and enroll in Medicare, health, dual-eligible, and life insurance plans.
Information we collect
- Contact information you submit through our forms or share by phone or email (name, email, phone, ZIP code, topic of interest, messages).
- Health-related information you choose to share so we can recommend appropriate coverage (date of birth, Medicare status, prescriptions, doctors, household size, income for ACA subsidy eligibility).
- Application information required by insurance carriers when you choose to enroll.
- Basic technical information from your visit (page visited, approximate location, device type). We do not currently use advertising cookies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request and provide insurance guidance.
- To submit applications to carriers you select.
- To comply with federal and Wisconsin insurance regulations, including CMS requirements for Medicare marketing.
- To contact you about plan changes, renewal periods (such as Medicare AEP), or your existing policies.
We will not use your information for unrelated marketing, and we will not sell your information.
Who we share information with
- Insurance carriers you ask us to apply to or quote.
- Regulators when required by law (CMS, Wisconsin OCI, state Medicaid).
- Service providers that host this website and store our records under written confidentiality and security obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share your information with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.
HIPAA, GLBA, and Wisconsin law
Protected Health Information (PHI) is handled in accordance with HIPAA. Financial information collected during the insurance process is handled in accordance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and Wisconsin Insurance Code ch. Ins 25 (Privacy of Consumer Financial and Health Information). Access to your records is restricted to authorized personnel.
Data retention
We keep lead and application records for as long as required by Wisconsin insurance law and carrier contracts (generally a minimum of 7 years for policy-related records). You may request earlier deletion of non-policy lead information.
Your choices
- Ask us what information we have about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete information that is not required to be retained by law.
- Opt out of non-essential communications by replying STOP to a text or emailing us.

Security
Our website uses HTTPS. Lead submissions are stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security so that only authorized agency personnel can view them.
Complaints
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may contact us directly or file a complaint with the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) at oci.wi.gov or 1-800-236-8517. Medicare-related concerns can also be reported to 1-800-MEDICARE.
